Easter Holiday Projects for Beginners

Learn to knit over the Easter holidays with some easy knit patterns and yarn. When I started knitting, I started with dishcloths. They are simple squares that show off all your mistakes but, as they are used for a practical purpose, the mistakes don't matter. I've just restocked in dishcloth cotton, a recycled yarn in white or ecru (off-white). You can chose to get a free pattern, or just cast on 50-60 stitches and knit until you have a square. You can knit all in garter stitch, or you can practice you knit and purl stitches and knit your square using stocking stitch - knit a row, purl a row, repeat.

If you are completely new to knitting then I recommend the 'knitting kit' - yarn, free pattern and a pair of needles.
