New In - King Cole Knitting Patterns

I've recently added some new King Cole patterns to my shop. A great range of baby blankets with bolder colour suggestions that bring the patterns to life. There are also a couple of traditional Christening outfits which make special gifts that will become lasting heirlooms. Finally, there is a fun hug slipper pattern to knit in child and adult sizes and a beautiful cable jumper and cardigan for ladies.

King Cole patterns always knit up well and they have such a great selection of designs and yarns.

All patterns are printed on paper and written in English. The images are photos or scans of the patterns and so the quality varies. The printed version is crisp and clear.

Baby Blankets

This was the first baby blanket pattern I ever knitted, years ago. And, it remains my favourite. I always knit it in neutral colours, white or cream, and use a soft baby yarn. But, I feel inspired by the bolder colour in the pattern and plan to be a bit more adventurous next time. I like the idea of knitting small squares and then sew them together. But I get bored easily and haven't quite figured out the right balance between knitting and sewing up as I go or in blocks. Buy

Another baby blanket pattern with bolder colours. I love the simple geometric shapes in this pattern and the use of bolder colours really brings them to life. If you like cable knits, you'll love this pattern. The pattern is mostly reverse stocking stitch with a vertical cable strip down each side and the middle of the front. The matching crew neck cardigan features the side cable panels. It is a beautiful interwoven cable panel that looks striking in contrast to the broader plain panels. Buy
